Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work with children and their families to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication difficulties. This role is vital in supporting children's development and enhancing their ability to communicate effectively.

*Key Responsibilities:*

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions to children in various settings, including clinics, schools, and home visits.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support children's communication development.
- Monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Provide training and support to parents and educators on strategies to enhance communication skills.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in speech and language therapy.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development opportunities.

*Qualifications:*

- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication needs (desirable).
- Knowledge of a range of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

*Desirable Skills:*

- Experience in working with children with additional needs, including autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and other communication challenges.
- Familiarity with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
