Our children's home in Suffolk is seeking a Senior Children's Home Support Worker to join our dynamic team. *Key Responsibilities:*
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in the home, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of children and young people, providing regular feedback and support.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Facilitate and participate in activities that promote personal development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote the best outcomes for young people.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
*Qualifications and Experience:*
- Previous experience working in a children's residential setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
- A relevant qualification in social care, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and colleagues.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- A compassionate and resilient approach, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
